The body of an elderly man, identified as Kartik Guru, was recovered from a pond in Ghodadhar village under Binika police station in Sonepur district. He had gone to bathe yesterday but did not return. Local residents spotted the body floating in the Nuabandha pond and alerted the police. Fire services personnel recovered the body around 10 AM today.
