The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has banned the use of cosmetic products as injectables in beauty clinics. Drugs Controller General Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi clarified that according to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940, cosmetics are meant for external application only and not for injection. The government warned of strict legal action against clinics, companies, or sellers promoting cosmetic injections for skin glow or anti-aging, stating that misleading advertisements are a legal offense.
