India has announced a financial grant of 560.2 million Nepalese Rupees (approximately 35.1 crore INR) to Nepal for the reconstruction of 14 schools damaged in the 2015 earthquake. These schools will be built in 8 districts, including Kathmandu and Gorkha, following earthquake-resistant norms. The project includes academic blocks, classrooms, and separate sanitation facilities. This initiative is part of India's ongoing post-earthquake reconstruction assistance, following the successful completion and handover of 70 schools and a central library in January 2024.
