Ludhiana police busted a massive international cyber fraud network, arresting 140 individuals including the mastermind, Munish, a vegetable seller's son. The gang targeted residents in the US and Europe by sending fake Microsoft virus alerts and gaining remote access to their computers. During raids at Sandhu Tower and Silver Oak areas, police recovered over ₹1.07 crore in cash, 98 laptops, 229 mobile phones, 19 luxury cars, and discovered links to 300 bank accounts. The operation involved 'opener' and 'closer' teams who coerced victims into transferring money via Amazon/Apple gift cards and hawala channels.
