A minor girl from Kamakhyanagar, Dhenkanal district, was allegedly sold for one lakh rupees in Jhansi after being lured by an acquaintance under the pretext of providing employment to fund her mother's medical treatment. The victim reported being subjected to sexual abuse and repeated trafficking. She managed to escape and filed a complaint at the Kamakhyanagar police station.
