Low pressure induced heavy rainfall has disrupted life in Jajpur district. Over the last 24 hours, the district recorded an average rainfall of 122.51 mm, with Dasarathpur receiving the highest at 193 mm. Urban areas like Vyasanagar are facing artificial flooding due to poor drainage, causing waterlogging on main roads. Agricultural fields in blocks like Rasulpur and Korei are submerged, leading to significant crop losses for vegetable farmers. However, the water level of the Baitarani river remains below the danger mark at Akhuapada.
