A two-member team from the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has arrived in Bhubaneswar to investigate the mob lynching and murder of GRP constable Soumya Ranjan Swain in Balianta. The team questioned former IIC Anil Parida regarding why the police failed to prevent the incident despite their presence. During their five-day visit, the team will also question four suspended police personnel, the victim's family, and witnesses.
