Famous Sarpanch Chameli Ojha of Tikhiri Panchayat in Mahakalapada block, Kendrapara, has been arrested and sent to Barimula jail. The arrest followed a dispute at the BDO's office where she allegedly misbehaved with the official and the police while filming a video. While Chameli and her brother were arrested based on complaints from the BDO and police, she has counter-alleged police brutality in custody.
