The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists has commenced in Odisha, running until June 28. Booth Level Officers (BLO) will conduct door-to-door visits to distribute enumeration forms and verify details for 3.16 crore voters. According to Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan, 17% of voters have minor errors in mapping. Final voter lists are scheduled for publication on September 6. Due to the heatwave, BLOs will work during cooler morning and evening hours.
