But inside the cabin, passengers barely notice anything dramatic — it just feels like a smooth climb after takeoff.
What we see on camera and what actually happens are two very different things. The camera angle and telephoto lenses compress perspective, making the aircraft look almost vertical even though it isn’t.
Interesting fact: Even during steep demonstration climbs, passenger aircraft rarely exceed 15–18° of pitch. That “rocket launch” look is mostly a visual illusion created by cameras — a perfect example of aviation physics mixed with perspective.
