On 7th June 2026: Local TMC leader Brahmanand Chakraborty was arrested in Howrah's Udaynarayanpur area after police allegedly found him hiding beneath bundles of sarees inside a cloth shop storeroom during a raid.
According to reports, police were searching for him in connection with allegations of taking "cut money" from beneficiaries of a government housing scheme and extortion related complaints. #west bengal govt job#bengal
