INS Chilka is the Indian Navy’s premier training establishment for sailors and Agniveers, shaping disciplined maritime warriors for the nation. 2️⃣ Indian Army restores critical connectivity in Sri Lanka Indian Army engineers have constructed a 100-foot Bailey Bridge on the B-492 highway, restoring vital road connectivity between Sri Lanka’s Central and Uwa Provinces. This reflects India’s commitment to humanitarian assistance, engineering excellence, and regional goodwill. 3️⃣ 2026 declared ‘Year of Networking & Data Centricity’ Under the leadership of General Upendra Dwivedi, the Indian Army has declared 2026 as the ‘Year of Networking & Data Centricity’, focusing on digital integration, real-time data sharing, and data-driven battlefield decision-making for future warfare. 4️⃣ Army Chief’s strategic outreach abroad Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi is on an official visit to the UAE and Sri Lanka, strengthening military-to-military cooperation, interoperability, and strategic trust with friendly nations. 5️⃣ India exports WhAP 8×8 armoured vehicles India has delivered the first batch of WhAP 8×8 wheeled armoured vehicles to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces, showcasing India’s growing defence manufacturing strength. The vehicles are produced by Tata Advanced Systems Limited. 6️⃣ Arihant-class S4 to join nuclear deterrent* The fourth Arihant-class nuclear-powered submarine (S4)*, likely to be named INS Arisudan, is set to join India’s strategic fleet.
