Besan Chilla is a quick, protein-rich Indian pancake made with gram flour and mild spices. Perfect for breakfast, tiffin, or a light dinner.
🛒 *Ingredients*
➡️ Besan (gram flour) – 1 cup
➡️ Onion – 1 small (finely chopped)
➡️ Tomato – 1 small (finely chopped)
➡️ Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped, optional)
➡️ Ginger – ½ tsp (grated)
➡️ Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
➡️ Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
➡️ Ajwain (carom seeds) – ¼ tsp
➡️ Salt – as per taste
➡️ Water – as required
➡️ Oil – for cooking
➡️ Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp (chopped)
👩🍳 *Method*
1️⃣ Take besan in a bowl and add all vegetables and spices.
2️⃣ Add water slowly to make a smooth, lump-free batter.
3️⃣ Heat a tawa and grease lightly with oil.
4️⃣ Pour a ladle of batter and spread into a round chilla.
5️⃣ Cook from both sides till golden brown.
6️⃣ Serve hot with green chutney or curd 😋
