Why does Nandi always "Waits" outside? 🐂 We see Nandi sitting in front of every Shiva Lingam. We think he is guarding or waiting. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: Nandi is not waiting in the way we understand "waiting." He is in a state of eternal 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 (Listening). In Yoga, Nandi represents the Jivatma (Individual Soul) and Shiva is Paramatma (Universal Soul). Nandi does not look at the world; his gaze is fixed only on Shiva.🕉️ 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦: He teaches us that if you want to find God, you don't need to run around. You just need to sit still, silence your ego, and keep your focus fixed on the Truth. He isn't "waiting" for Shiva to come out; he is experiencing Shiva by simply being.
