Chidananda Swamiji, the head of Hosamutt in Mysuru, significantly transformed the Mutt by prioritizing education alongside religious activities. Since taking charge in 1982, he expanded social services with a vision, notably focusing on women's education. He established the Nataraja Foundation in 1984, which now governs over 24 institutions ranging from primary schools to professional colleges like Nursing and B.Ed. Known for his 'less talk, more work' attitude, he also supported reservation for the Lingayat Panchamasali community and contributed to arts, literature, and healthcare through various initiatives.
