The acquisition gives Infineon C2i's expertise in multiphase controllers, smart power stages, and software-defined power architectures, technologies designed to manage the rapidly changing power demands of increasingly powerful AI processors.
It also strengthens Infineon's engineering presence in India, where the company already employs around 2,800 people and plans to establish a new centre of excellence for digital power technologies.
India isn't just becoming a manufacturing base for the semiconductor industry. Its engineering capabilities are becoming part of the industry's global technology stack.
