As per NCRB data, over 1.5 lakh people die every year in road accidents in India, and a significant number of two-wheeler accidents are caused by sudden braking and uneven road surfaces. Poorly designed speed breakers and the recent uncontrolled installation of slow-down strips in Tamil Nadu are causing serious problems.
