📖 TODAY'S GOSPEL — FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2026 Feast of Saint Thomas, Apostle John 20:24–29 My Lord and My God Thomas was not with the other disciples when the risen Jesus first appeared. When they told him, "We have seen the Lord," he struggled to believe. He wanted more than secondhand faith. He wanted to encounter Jesus for himself. Eight days later, Jesus came again. He did not rebuke Thomas. He did not reject him. Instead, He greeted him with peace and gently said: 📖 "Put your finger here and see My hands... Do not be unbelieving, but believe." Overwhelmed by the presence of the risen Lord, Thomas made one of the greatest professions of faith in all of Scripture: "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28) Those simple words proclaim that Jesus is not only risen— He is truly Lord and God. ✨ Reflection Thomas reminds us that honest questions do not separate us from Jesus. When we bring our doubts to Him with sincerity, they can become the beginning of deeper faith. Jesus is patient with those who seek Him. He meets us in our fears. He strengthens us in our weakness. He transforms doubt into conviction. Then Jesus speaks a blessing that reaches every generation: 📖 "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." That blessing is for us. We may not have seen the risen Christ with our eyes, but we encounter Him through Sacred Scripture, the Eucharist, the Sacraments, and the life of His Church. 🙏 Prayer Lord Jesus, increase my faith. When doubts arise, draw me closer to You. Help me trust Your promises and proclaim with my whole life: "My Lord and my God." Amen. ✝️ Truth for Today Faith reaches its fullness when we recognize Jesus as our Lord, our God, and our Savior. 🕊️ Reflection If Jesus stood before you today and asked, "Do you trust Me?" what would your answer be?
