The distribution of Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) is severely delayed in Nabarangpur district, Odisha. Out of 1,65,235 registered farmers across 13 LAMPS, only 99,444 (60.10%) have received their cards, leaving over 65,000 farmers without benefits. Despite government mandates to issue cards within 14 days of application, the process remains slow. This delay prevents farmers from accessing agricultural loan subsidies and low-interest rates (4-6%). Maidulpur LAMPS has the highest distribution rate at 85.86%, while Papadahandi is the lowest at 43.05%. District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain's orders to expedite the process have yet to yield significant results.
