Following a tragic road accident in Baripada, the Odisha government has taken a strict stance against vehicles operating without valid fitness certificates. Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena has directed RTOs across the state to identify and cancel the registration of unfit vehicles. The registrations of two vehicles involved in the Baripada accident have already been cancelled due to a lack of fitness certificates.
