Dengue cases in Malaysia have increased significantly this year, with over 38,800 cases recorded as of June 27, marking a 29.1% rise compared to the same period last year. The death toll has also climbed from 18 to 30. The Ministry of Health attributes this surge to urbanization, climate factors, and changes in dengue virus strains. Despite the increase, officials state the situation remains under control, and authorities have been instructed to intensify mosquito eradication efforts, including fogging operations, across all districts.
