The Devasnana Purnima festival was celebrated with great fervor in Puri. Lord Jagannath and His siblings moved to the Snana Bedi in a ceremonial Pahandi procession. The deities were bathed with 108 pots of scented water from the Suna Kua. Following the Chhera Pahanra ritual by Gajapati Maharaja, the deities appeared in the rare Hathi Besha (Elephant attire), attracting lakhs of devotees to the Grand Road.
