Fatima Zahra, a 22-year-old boxer from Sargodha, Pakistan, made history by becoming the first female boxer from her country to win a Commonwealth Games medal. After securing bronze in the 60kg category, she revealed that Indian legend Mary Kom is her idol and primary inspiration. Despite financial hardships and family opposition, Fatima persisted in her training, often drawing strength from Mary Kom's biopic and life story. She aims to follow in Kom's footsteps and hopes to meet her one day.
