A massive fire broke out at a restaurant in the Malviya Nagar area of Delhi on Wednesday morning, claiming the lives of 20 people. Around 10 fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze and carry out rescue operations. Approximately 37 people were rescued from the building, while several others sustained injuries and are being treated at a hospital. Preliminary investigations suggest the building housed both a hotel and a restaurant and may have been operating illegally. The fire reportedly started in the kitchen and quickly spread through the floors.
