Post-Quantum Security Is Coming ⚛️🔐
Why it matters now
AI is getting better at finding weaknesses, and quantum computing is moving closer to a point where today’s cryptography may no longer be enough. For InterLink, that means security must be built for the future, not just for today.
Why NIST matters
NIST is helping define the standards that will shape post-quantum cryptography. InterLink’s long-term vision is closely linked to using cryptographic design that can stand up to quantum-era threats.
InterLink’s early work
InterLink Foundation is already researching:
• digital signatures
• cryptographic algorithms
• migration paths for future upgrades
A key focus is generating new private keys from an existing seed phrase, helping users improve security without losing access to their assets.
Address Alias + smart contract protection
Address Alias is designed to help users retain wallet continuity, preserve tokens and NFTs, and migrate to a new security architecture. InterLink is also implementing SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s (FIPS 205) in IRC smart contracts to protect vaults, high-value assets, and sensitive on-chain operations.
Looking ahead
Testing on the Taj Mahal Testnet is already underway, with the goal of full integration into Open Mainnet in 2027. If successful, InterLink could help set a stronger standard for long-term digital asset security.
Final thought
In the quantum era, security is not just about protecting a private key — it is about whether the cryptography behind it is built to last.
