The second technical conference of the BRICS Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group has commenced in Puri, Odisha. Inaugurated by Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, the Managing Director of OSDMA, the event hosts representatives from 11 countries including Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa. The meeting focuses on disaster management strategies, early warning systems, and building resilience. Odisha's successful 'Zero Casualty' model is being showcased as a global benchmark.
