A speeding truck dragged a scooter for about 200 meters after hitting it near Laxmisagar in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night. The rider, Nrusingha Sahoo, survived with serious injuries after being thrown off the vehicle. Local residents caught the truck driver, Sahadev Panda, thrashed him, and damaged the vehicle before handing him over to the police. The victim was rushed to Capital Hospital.
