Tragedy struck in Sangli district of Maharashtra when a wall near Shrimargubai Devasthan temple collapsed during a storm, killing six devotees and injuring 13 others. The victims, including three members of a single family, had taken shelter in a structure during heavy winds when the stone wall collapsed. Over 300 people were present for rituals at the time. PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over the loss of lives and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
