Car sales in India saw a 28.6% increase in June, reaching 4,10,853 units. The demand for alternative fuel vehicles, including CNG, Hybrid, and EVs, has risen significantly due to high fuel prices and global conflicts. These categories now account for 40.35% of total sales compared to 38% in the previous month. Maruti Suzuki reported a 40% jump in CNG bookings. FADA President C.S. Vigneshwar noted that while consumer sentiment is driving this shift, the market is expected to stabilize as supply chain issues ease.
