The Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested a private individual named Sarabjit Singh alias Bittu in Ludhiana for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. The accused allegedly demanded Rs 3.50 lakh to facilitate a land registration that was previously disputed due to forgery. Acting on a complaint, the Vigilance team laid a trap and caught him red-handed while accepting the first installment of the bribe in the presence of official witnesses.
