The Punjab government in Pakistan has decided to restore the original Hindu, Sikh, and Jain names of various streets and areas in Lahore that were changed after the 1947 partition. Under a 50 billion rupee heritage project inspired by Nawaz Sharif, areas like Islampura will return to being Krishan Nagar, and Babri Masjid Chowk will be renamed Jain Mandir Chowk.
