This Gayatri mantra is to praise lord Sun, means "We meditate upon the supreme, adorable radiance of the Divine Sun (the Creator). May that divine light destroy our ignorance, purify our hearts, and guide our intellect on the right path."
Loud or mental chanting of the Gayatri Mantra is traditionally avoided late at night.
Gayatri Mantra is chanted three times a day during the junctions of time, known as Sandhya Kaal: 1. Pratah Sandhya (Morning): Right before and during sunrise. 2.Madhyahna Sandhya (Noon): When the sun is directly overhead at its peak. and 3.
