Electric vehicle adoption in India reached a new milestone in June, accounting for 12% of total vehicle sales. According to FADA data, TVS Motor Company led the market with over 47,000 units sold, followed by Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy. While Hero MotoCorp saw a massive 157% growth in EV sales, Ola Electric experienced a decline. The overall EV sales grew by 36% year-on-year, driven by strong demand in the two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments.
