Anu: Hi Sachu! Do you have a minute?

Do/Does: ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കാൻ.
Was/Were: കഴിഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറയാൻ (Last trip, Yesterday).
Have/Has: കയ്യിലുള്ളതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും (Car), ചെയ്തു തീർത്തതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും (Packing) പറയാൻ.
Should: ഉപദേശത്തിന് (We should start early).
Could/Would: മാന്യമായി ചോദിക്കാനും താല്പര്യം അറിയാനും.
Can: കഴിവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയാൻ (I can ask).

Was and were എന്നിവ same അർത്ഥം ആണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ കാര്യങ്ങൾ (past) കുറിച്ച് പറയാനാണ് ഇത് ഉപയോഗിക്കുക. എന്നാൽ ഇവ രണ്ടു രീതിയിൽ ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുക.
Was എന്നത് (I, She, It, He) കൂടെയും
Were എന്നത് (You, They, We) എന്നതിന്റെ കൂടെയുമാണ്

I was tired yesterday. (ഞാൻ ഇന്നലെ ക്ഷീണിതനായിരുന്നു.)
He was at home. (അവൻ വീട്ടിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.)
She was a teacher. (അവൾ ഒരു ടീച്ചറായിരുന്നു.)
It was a rainy day. (അതൊരു മഴയുള്ള ദിവസമായിരുന്നു.)
I was born in Kochi. (ഞാൻ ജനിച്ചത് കൊച്ചിയിലാണ്.)
He was very happy. (അവൻ വലിയ സന്തോഷത്തിലായിരുന്നു.)
