Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 25 September 1888 in thiruttani Tamil Nadu India... He was very intelligent and excelled in his students from on early age... He was distinguished professor a great philosopher and a successful politician... He introduced Indian culture and philosophy to the world... He served as the first vice president of independent India and leter the second President of India.. He believed a good teacher can shape society and the nation.. His birthday 5th September is celebrated as Teachers Day in India.. In 1954 he was honoured with India highest civilian award Bharat Ratna and in 1931 the British government conferred upon him the "little of kinghthood"... Besides receiving numerous award and honors from India and abroad Radhakrishnan also wrote several valueable books on philosophy... Dr sarvepalli Radhakrishnan passed away on 17 April 1975 ..
