Rourkela Plantsite Police foiled a major dacoity attempt by arresting five notorious criminals behind Congress Bhawan in Nayabazar. During a late-night raid on Friday, police seized weapons including swords, a knife, and iron rods. The arrested individuals, identified as Sonu Singh, Biki Ahmed, Deepak Sandh, Sahid Khan, and Krishna Das, confessed to planning robberies at nearby shops and petrol pumps. Notably, one of the accused, Deepak Sandh, has 27 prior criminal cases against him.
