Former Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai has proposed a monthly contributory pension of ₹10,000 for working journalists. Speaking at the 32nd annual celebration of the Odisha Press Academy in Bhubaneswar, he urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to allocate ₹10 crore in the supplementary budget to create a corpus fund.
