The rebel group met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at BJP leader Bhupender Yadav's residence to formalize their move. Instead of joining the BJP directly, they have opted to merge with the Nationalist Citizen Party of India (NCPI), a regional party from the Northeast, and will support the NDA.
