An innovative solar-powered library, inspired by the Brazilian model of rural study centers, has been established in the Ramanaguda block of Rayagada district, Odisha. Built at a cost of 4.5 lakh rupees, the library aims to promote education and environmental protection by providing free access to competitive exam books and literature. It is the first of its kind in the state to be entirely green-energy dependent, ensuring uninterrupted study during power cuts.
