Snana Yatra, also known as Debasnan Purnima, is a significant festival of Lord Jagannath in Puri held on Jyeshtha Purnima. The deities are bathed with 108 pots of fragrant water from the Suna Kua. Following the bath, the deities are dressed in the famous Hathi Besha (Elephant attire). According to Skanda Purana, this day marks the appearance day of Lord Jagannath. After the grand bath, the deities supposedly fall ill and retire to 'Anasara' for 15 days of secret treatment before the Rath Yatra. https://odishasambad.in/sacred-snana-yatra-lord-jagannaths-holy-bath-festival-in-puri/ #creator program
