ISKCON is facing backlash for organizing an untimely Rath Yatra in Wiesbaden, Germany, violating the traditional rituals of Puri. According to reports, Lord Jagannath was placed on the roadside under an umbrella instead of a chariot to attract crowds at a local fair. This has deeply hurt the sentiments of the Odia diaspora and Jagannath devotees worldwide. Despite prior warnings and memorandums submitted to ISKCON's GBC in Switzerland, the organization reportedly proceeded with the event. Similar violations were also noted in 11 locations across Germany and in New York, USA.
