Farmers in Karlamunda block of Kalahandi district are facing difficulties as paddy remains uncollected even seven days after the mandi's inauguration. Thousands of quintals of paddy are lying in various mandis under several primary agricultural cooperative societies. Farmers allege that millers are demanding a deduction (Katni) of 8 kg per quintal, leading to the delay. A written complaint has been submitted to the Chief Minister, District Collector, and other officials seeking immediate intervention.
