The Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) has issued final show-cause notices to 800 industrialists who failed to establish units despite being allotted land at concessional rates. The notice warns that leases will be canceled if no satisfactory response is received within 15 days. While Chhattisgarh has signed MOUs worth over ₹8 lakh crore since 2024, only ₹6,000 crore worth of projects have commenced on the ground. Major projects like Adani Group's ₹80,344 crore investment and NTPC's hydro project remain pending due to land acquisition and environmental hurdles.
