Delhi's IGI Airport has become the first in India to install 'SKYCAST', a high-tech aviation weather intelligence and nowcasting system. Developed jointly by the Ministry of Science and Technology and DIAL, the system provides real-time updates every 5 minutes on weather conditions like fog, thunderstorms, and wind shear. This technology aims to enhance flight safety, reduce delays, and assist pilots and ATC in making faster decisions.
