Adani Enterprises is transforming the Parsa East and Kanta Basan (PEKB) coal mine in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district into a green landscape. Over 1.6 million trees have been planted across 560 hectares, with a target of 4 million trees in a decade. Operating as a developer for RVUNL, the company plants 40 saplings for every tree cut during mining. With an 88% survival rate, the initiative has been praised by the Ministry of Coal as a model for ecological restoration. A nursery with 500,000 saplings has also been established. https://eisamay.com/nation/adani-group-is-plating-many-trees-in-coal-mines-to-promote-sustainability/200506383.cms #creator program
