TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee was interrogated by the Kolkata CID for five and a half hours regarding a signature forgery case. The case involves allegations that signatures of two MLAs were forged in a letter submitted to the Speaker concerning the selection of the Leader of the Opposition. Although the High Court has stayed his arrest, Banerjee was directed to cooperate with the investigation.
