The Potato Mission in Sunabeda Sanctuary of Nuapada district has faced a setback due to the negligence of the district administration and the Horticulture Department for the past two years. Farmers who once thrived by growing strawberries and potatoes are now struggling as the supply of potato seeds has stopped. In 2023, 125 farmers cultivated 80 acres and produced 30 metric tons of organic potatoes.
