Kapurthala police have arrested the main accused, Navjot Singh alias Mani Baba, from Uttarakhand in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Deepak Lal. The incident took place in April when the victim was abducted at gunpoint outside a gas agency warehouse and beaten to death. The accused, who has 12 prior criminal cases against him, has been sent to three-day police remand.
