The construction of the Panposh-Yamunanaki bridge connecting Rourkela and Kuarmunda has faced significant delays, with the deadline extended for the 6th time to March 2027. Originally slated for completion in 2022, the ₹28.85 crore DMF-funded project is lagging due to technical issues and design changes in the pillars. Currently, 6 out of 14 slabs and 3 pillars remain incomplete. The delay is blamed on departmental negligence.
