The West Bengal government has implemented the 'Detect, Delete and Deport' policy to identify and deport illegal immigrants. As part of this, the first 'holding center' has been established in Malda district, where 9 suspected Bangladeshi nationals are currently detained. Suspects will be held for up to 30 days for document verification. Those without valid documents will be arrested and handed over to the BSF for deportation.
